Adult Animation - Script Analysis & the Art of the Audition
November 12th, 6:00-9:00pm PST
Virtual
What makes an animation audition a must-listen, and what can take it out of the running? Learn to identify the clues hidden in a script, define your character's goals, and use relationships, circumstances and facts to build dynamic, resonant performances. Explore the audition habits that help a read stand out, the missteps that can undermine it, and how to make specific, playable choices when you're given little to no context.
Then, put it into practice. Each participant will "audition" in front of the class, receive individualized feedback, make adjustments and read again. Through practical direction and conversation, we'll work to strengthen each performance, turning good auditions into ones that demand the casting director's attention.
Adult animation intensive focused on crafting auditions that demand a second listen. + Q&A.
